Ayer se llevaron a cabo los Shockwaves NME Awards 2011<\/a>. Los grandes ganadores de la noche fueron los My Chemical Romance, quienes no solo abrieron la ceremonia tocando en vivo sino que se fueron a casa con dos premios: Mejor Banda Internacional y Mejor video por “Na Na Na (Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na)”<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Muse gan\u00f3 como mejor banda brit\u00e1nica por segundo a\u00f1o consecutivo, mientras que su frontman Matt Bellamy<\/strong> gan\u00f3 el premio a el Hombre m\u00e1s Sexy bde 2011, siendo la cuarta vez que gana este galard\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Foals fueron nominados a cinco premios pero se fueron a casa con s\u00f3lo uno: Mejor Track por “Spanish Sahara”<\/strong>.  A los Arcade Fire los nominaron en cuatro categor\u00edas y tambi\u00e9n se fueron s\u00f3lo con una ganada:  Mejor Album por “The Suburbs”<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Foo Fighters se presentaron en vivo cerrando la ceremonia, que se llev\u00f3 a cabo en el O2 Academy Brixton<\/strong> de Londres.<\/strong>Los Foo tocaron todo su disco nuevo <\/strong>“Wasting Light”<\/b>y su l\u00edder Dave Grolh, gan\u00f3 el premio <\/strong>“Godlike Genius<\/strong>“, algo as\u00ed como “Santo Genio”.<\/p>\n

Tambi\u00e9n se presentaron en vivo durante la noche PJ Harvey, Hurts y Crystal Castles. <\/p>\n
