El actor Johnny Depp convocó a una serie de artistas del mundo del rock para realizar un disco doble de temática pirata. Patti Smith, Iggy Pop, Keith Richards, Tom Waits, Courtney Love y muchos músicos más participaron de Son of Rogue´s Gallery:Pirate Ballads, Sea Songs and Chanteys, impulsado por el actor, quien participa en algunos de los cortes.
El protagonista de Piratas del Caribe y el director de la saga, Gore Verbinski, sacan el volumen II deRogue´s Gallery, el disco que había sido editado en 2006. Esta vez, con canciones exclusivamente dedicadas al mar, la apuesta es doble y con grandes leyendas del rock.
El nuevo disco de 36 canciones saldrá a la venta el 18 de febrero. Tom Waits con Keith Richards aportan “Shenandoah”, Iggy Pop se junta con la banda A Hawk and a Hacksaw y Elegant Too, y Patti Smith vuelve a compartir canción con Johnny Depp en “The Mermaid”.
Además, colaboran Courtney Love, Macy Gray, Beth Orton, y Shane MacGowan, entre otros. Acá, el track list del disco doble y el primer corte para trasladarse a un barco pirata.
